Take a bike home for a long weekend, a busy work week, or a whole month. Standard step-through e-bikes are great for errands; passenger bikes can carry a kid or another adult.
Pick up at Daubenspeck Park in Bingen or Whitson Elementary in White Salmon — with a third hub coming soon. Helmet and lock included.

Our team reviews your reservation. You'll get an email with your confirmed pickup time.
Plan for about 30 minutes at pickup — the orientation covers the bike, the rules of the road, helmet fit, a short test ride, and the paperwork. Then you're rolling.
Bring it back to your hub at the return time we arranged. Give us 24 hours' notice if plans change.

Any individual 18 or older who lives in Bingen, White Salmon, or a surrounding Klickitat County community. We confirm residency with any document that shows your name and a local address — a bill, a statement, a piece of mail, or your ID. No credit check, no fees.

No. The bikes, helmet, lock, and charger are completely free — no fees and no deposit. The program is grant-funded through Washington's Climate Commitment Act.
Helmet (sized for you), lock, lights, charger, and the pickup orientation. Rack-top bags are available for carrying groceries and gear.
We're partnered with Dr. Roscoe's down in Bingen. Bring the bike down and he'll get it fixed up for you.
Yes — our Aventon Abound passenger bikes carry one passenger (a kid in the child seat, or another adult on the rear seat). Each passenger signs a quick waiver at pickup, and we have helmets for kids of all sizes. Note: they're passenger bikes, not heavy cargo haulers.
Anywhere from 2 days to 1 month (per the Program Rules). Need to change your return? Just give us at least 24 hours' notice — call or text (971) 754-4392.
Plan about 30 minutes. We check your ID, fit your helmet, go through the Pre-Ride Orientation together, do a short supervised test ride, a quick 10-question safety quiz, and you sign the Participant Agreement. Then you ride away.
Yes — completing the University of Washington / WSDOT program survey after your loan is a required condition of participation. It takes a few minutes, and it's how the program proves its impact and stays funded and free.
Tell us right away. You're responsible for the equipment while it's in your possession — penalties run up to $1,000 for a missing e-bike and up to $50 per missing accessory. A bike not returned within 5 days after your loan ends (without arranging it with us) is treated as lost or stolen. Always lock the frame to something fixed, and bring the bike indoors overnight.
Yes. Every bike is GPS-tracked and monitored for tampering through the Aventon system — it's not tied to your name in the tracking system, and it protects the fleet so the program can keep running. You consent to this monitoring in the Participant Agreement.
Anywhere a bike can legally go! The Pre-Ride Orientation covers the rules of the road — including Washington's "Stop as Yield" law, riding with traffic, and the local specifics like Dock Grade Road's left-side bike lane. Helmets are required at all times.
Use only the supplied charger, plugged straight into a wall outlet — never a power strip or extension cord, never overnight, and keep the battery out of direct sun. Store the bike inside a garage or secure building overnight; no secure spot? Call us and we'll figure something out.
